Registering a .eu domain name

EU domain names are for Europe or European Union. If you are planning to do business in Europe, this domain could be for you. It will show that you have a European presence and this will build confidence in your company.

Registration:

  • Every Registration Request is immediately submitted to the EU Domain Registry on your behalf.
  • Hostingireland.ie cannot guarantee that the Registry will grant any particular application:
  • The registry could receive applications for a particular name from different applicants through different affiliates.
  • The registry must use a 1st-come-1st-served policy and priority will have gone to Sunrise Applicants. (Sunrise applications have now ceased)
  • If we cannot secure the .eu domain for you, we will provide a full refund less a 10% administration fee.

How to obtain EU Domain names?

Applicants must meet the geographical criteria given by the European Commission.
Only private individuals resident in the EU or organizations with offices in one of the Member States of the European Union will be able to obtain eu domain names.
